Some observers have announced that the device will be similar to the previous model except that it’s going to be more sleek and slim compared to older BlackBerry products. The touchscreen however is smaller than the standard touchscreen smart phones. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is equipped with the latest OS 7 software, which is one of the fastest software for smart phones.
The phone features a 2.8 inch touchscreen with a 640 by 480 resolution. The device’s memory is 8 GB but is able to expand to 32 GB. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has a fully installed GPS system that works on major us service providers.
Equipped in the phone is also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. All videos are played in HD and the camera records HD videos which can be sent to a computer and played on any player.

The price for this phone unfortunately hasn’t been released yet but it is scheduled that the price will be released by the end of this month or the next, the device comes out this summer.

Smart phones are getting a lot of buzz from all sorts of media sources and technology fans alike. The buzz going around is not just for the Iphone 5, which should be met with lots of fan fare, but also the Galaxy S3. This new phone is not even fully specified but many sites are already promising information about the latest and greater device in the Galaxy line up. Since the Galaxy S2 was met with so much popularity, it’s no wonder that the Galaxy Series is getting some notoriety at the moment. Will the Galaxy S3 actually be able to compete with the mighty Apple offering? Yes. The answer is an emphatic yes. Speculation has already pointed that the Galaxy Series has something amazing to hit consumers with. A faster processor, the latest Android operating system, and so much more. Fans of the Galaxy S2 are going to be thrilled with the all new updated phone coming out. For those that think Apple is the only big name in smart phone design, changes are going to come faster than ever. The world is shifting fast, and the Iphone 5 is going to have some stiff competition. If the latest incarnation of the Galaxy really does jump forward past the S2, then Apple might have met their match. There is going to be competition and people tired of having to deal with the lackluster performance of standard smart phones are going to be happy with the all new device coming sooner than later.

If you are the typeof person who needs it to snow all the time then you’re most likely a lover of snowboarding or skiing. Heavy snow can be the cause of big disruptions sometimes but when there is no more work and only play you can have a seriously cool adventure on the piste, literally.

If you are planning to set off during the ski and snowboarding trip time of year then have you considered some handy little apps that might help make you life easier whilst you are on holiday? We have critiqued the top 3 ski apps you can not leave home without.

#1 Ski Resort Maps App

Quickly navigate your way around the ski holiday resort you are staying at by utilising this app as your digital guide; also useful if you’re prone to getting lost. It possesses 22 top ski resorts throughout Europe and America. Using your GPS placement it promptly discovers bars, accommodation, ski lifts etc for the holiday resort you are staying in. You can also map your location when you set off for the day, keeping a track of where you went and what you did. The resorts which are currently featureds within the app are as follows:

# AUSTRIA: Lech, St. Anton, Kitzbhel, St. Johann in Tirol
# FRANCE: Chamonix, Avoriaz, Méribel, Val d’Isre, Courchevel, Val Thorens, Brides les Bains, La Tania, St. Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires
# SWITZERLAND: Zermatt, Verbier, St. Moritz
# USA: Aspen, Snowmass Village, Buttermilk, Vail
# CANADA: Whistler

#2 Theodolite Free

This is a fantastic little app that uses augmented realism which offers a compass, GPS, zoom range and two-axis inclinometer. It works by overlaying things like position, bearing and altitude in real-time using the iPhone camera. It is useful for most trips away but would also reliable for hiking, boating, winter sports and frequent travel. It was also the number 1 selling app in the navigation category of iTunes around September 2010.

# 3 REALSKI

Another augmented reality trail map app. Suitable for the iPhone 4 or 3GS it uses the compass and camera features to overlay ski runs and key points of interest for popular mountain resorts in America. There are 80 supplemental maps available to download for a small fee. To run the app you just point your phone at a visual area like you are taking a picture and watch the screen as it exposes chairlift names, ski runs and resort facilities on your display.

If you are looking for further information on the ski iphone app then please visit iTunes.com where you can browse through a range of apps which are both free and paid for versions.

One of the most utilitarian technologies to be designed during the enmity between the member states of NATO and the nations behind the notorious Iron Curtain is the global positioning system (GPS). Fortunately, since the 1980s, GPS has been used in civilian devices as well. It will come as no surprise that a global positioning system has become a standard feature on a range of hand held devices from phones to pdas.

In every city in the world, millions of drivers depend upon GPS navigation to find their way around. Luckily, most automobiles either have an integrated system included as standard or available as an affordable extra. GPS technology is most often used by vehicles, aircraft and marine vessels. This lets a person with GPS to verify their exact position, in the air, or at sea, all with staggering accuracy. Road-users can make use of in-vehicle, portable gps navigation systems to follow the best route, discover subsidiary roads around traffic problems and with enhanced software loaded allow traffic info and warnings on safety camera locations. People of all ages enjoy the benefits of GPS. Anybody who may need to double check where they are (from mountaineers to ship’s captains) or to pinpoint a specific place or an individual (from surveyors to fire-fighters) should use GPS to make their job quicker. The availability of Sat Navs has lead to games where participants can download information and join millions of others geocaching. The game is a high-tech treasure hunt, which uses precise GPS signals to help the players track down a hidden stash. On the other side of the coin, GPS is a deadly serious matter. Fire fighters and the police use it everyday not only to pinpoint the scene of an accident, but additionally to get there by the most effective means. This is critical in search and rescue operations at sea and in difficult weather conditions on land where every second counts. The opportunities for taking advantage of GPS navigation in the fields of biology and engineering are immense, whether it is watching volcanic activity or tracking animals. They can use developing GPS technology to assist them in learning more about weather patterns and other planetary systems. It is easy to see how the evolution of GPS software has transformed our lives forever.

The phone was ripped apart by Engadget to verify the authenticity of the phone. It was found that the phone really was a prototype of the iPhone 4G. Support for this also comes from the fact that the device’s OS died soon after it was found, believed to be deactivated by Apple by remote control. Bruce Sewell, Senior VP and General Counsel for Apple wrote in to Gizmodo to ask for their product, which further substantiates the claims.

Nevertheless, if the device found is just a test-level prototype, then the features and design of the actual iPhone 4G may be radically different.
